This is a little known event marking its second year. Held at the Whalebone Junction shopping area this Friday and Saturday (around Kitty Hawk Kites Whalebone Watersports, 7517 S. Virginia Dare Trail in Nags Head) from 10 am–4 pm both days. It’s a free, casual scavenger-hunt style event where you visit participating shops, try kayaks, grab pizza from Benny Tesoro’s, get a beer from Lost Colony Brewery’s beer garden, and enter a raffle for prizes from Kitty Hawk Kites. Kids and leashed pets are welcome. It’s more of a laid-back community hangout than a big structured festival — good for wandering, shopping, and spending a few hours at the south end of Nags Head.
