I started a new cook job at the Black Pelican and can honestly say that it is a very clean and well organized kitchen and the food is delicious and fresh!! If you haven’t already, you should definitely try it! Lance

@LanceGoldman Great on your new job and welcome here. Have never eaten anything from there in 20 yrs visiting the Banks 🤷 . Is there a variety on menu - i'm not strictly seafood yeah i know being at the beach. Budget friendly ? Thanks for any info::flag-us::
@LanceGoldman , I have been going to BP since Paul Shaver started it years ago. Ever since he died in 2006 they have kept the quality up, very impressive! You have picked a great place to work. Yes I love their pizzas, but also their Salmon. To the person who asked about budget friendly, well what does that mean these days anyway?
@KHbiker Let's just say that life changes (person thinks they've prepared for everything financially -dont kid yourself) in past yr and half i have to pick and choose nice places to eat out and other things i do from time to time. I did 😂 at budget comment-sis says that to me too! haha ::flag-us::
@LanceGoldman Best thing Black Pelican (the dirty bird) did was what all restaurants here did - not allow smoking. I love to sit at the bar at the Pelican. Mostly to get those little wood fired pizzas.
@Tim-OBX , Tim, When the BP first opened they did allow smoking. I remember the ashtrays at the bar. I still have a few BP matchbooks around! I remember coming home (in KH Landing) and smelling smoke in my clothes! I was never a smoker.
