There are several hotels going through upgrades and some have new owners doing upgrades. I am not sure who picked the paint scheme and colors. Anything goes in KDH. Not sure of the name now, but this is around the 7.5 mile post at Sutton St - oceanfront.
Hate the color/design. It doesn't look beachy or stylish. You'd never think of OBX when looking at it.

Yah, that was/is the Quality Inn? They are putting a lot of money in the place. Erecting an exterior wall to make all the room doors interior instead of outside doors. Last I drove by they still didn't look open. The season is approaching fast!
I can't stand it, but you sure won't have a problem finding it driving down the beach road.

Ok, it's going to be a "Spark" hotel by Hilton. I still think it's ugly! They say open in mid July, losing half the season.
@KHbiker It is now called Spark by Hilton or something like that. Hilton has another they are upgrading in KDH I think what used to be the Ramada.
