@Craic'n Crabs I remember when he went to Cravings in Duck. That was a game changer for the restaurant.
@SassyGirl My understanding is they were on the verge of closing. Guy was on vacation, heard about Cravings and came in just before closing and asked to order. The server asked the owner Dan if it would be ok. Dan said absolutely. Afterwards Guy said he was going to get his crew and come back later that week. After filming he told Dan that he has one shot to get full access to Triple D marketing. He requested everything. Guy told him that they'd tell him when the show was going to air and that he needed to double staff in preparation. The rest is history.

It was a big deal when he was here for sure. I never met him but I met 3 or 4 producers and was at their house they rented from our office in Nags Head (they rented 3). For about a week stuff was being shipped to our office to hold for the producers to show up and take it to their rental house. There was so much stuff (brand new pots and pans and cooking stuff) I am sure some had camera in he trunks - lots of stuff. When one of the 10 producers showed up she could not get it all in her SUV so of course I volunteered to help her out. 😎 I was hoping to meet Guy, but never did. I asked one producer if they could ask Guy to come by the office so we could get a picture - but oh no "Guy does not do that" I was told. His show might have helped some place flourish, but he didn't help Weeping Radish
Guy does not like fried, scrambled or hard boiled eggs. He just can't do it, lol. There was an episode where a chef brought him a pizza topped with sunnyside up eggs on top. Guy's response was like 'no way dude'. Everyone was laughing at him.
