Hurricane season is upon us. It was suggested to me that locals, homeowners and visitors might appreciate a consolidated area for incoming or existing storms. What am I missing? What doesn't work or is confusing? I'd appreciate feedback here or PMs.
@Craic'n Crabs this is fantastic! It's perfect for a storm like today, a tropical storm/hurricane, and even a snow storm. Very smart to have Dare County's site so people can apply for a re-entry permit. I would suggest adding Cuurituck and Hyde county too. I am sure this took a lot of time and it shows - it's a great resource. Thanks so much

Haven't seen this before and it looks interesting.I'll take a deeper look to add.
The gauge that I watch closely when there’s possible flooding in the forecast is the Albemarle Sound at Moore Shore Rd. It’s the best indication there is of if and when it is time to move your car to higher ground or perhaps move your garage belongings to a higher elevation.

@tgp Unfortunately that site has the equivalent of a massive firewall protecting it from being embedded elsewhere. Did my best with the tools I've got but had to give up.
@Craic'n Crabs There are some phone numbers at the bottom of this webpage: https://www.ncdps.gov/our-organization/emergency-management I would think that they would want it to be as accessible as possible, and would gladly welcome this group as a resource.
