Hurricane season

I missed their forecast from a couple of weeks ago. Unless I'm misremembering I think this is the first below normal forecast in at least 10 years. Which means we're in for it. https://www.outerbanksvoice.com/2026/05/21/noaa-predicts-below-normal-2026-atlantic-hurricane-season/

@Craic'n Crabs - Hope it holds since last year NOAA predicted an above normal Atlantic season and luckily, as we all know, the US Mainland did not have a direct hit in ten years. Except for the Bermuda hits that swelled our way and tore up Buxton homes.....

We've been very lucky. Kinda feel like this might jinx us. I'd prefer they stuck with above normal.

When they start accurately predicting the 5 day forecast for here I'll start paying attention to their predictions.

Well they got the remnants of Arthur correct today. It was pouring buckets this morning.

@Craic'n Crabs who would have thought we would have 2 bad snowstorms down here, in hurricane country. Pretty to see it, but so happy when it's melted and gone.
