Sweet Labs at Hatteras Inlet

Ignore the sounds of my son pulling in the anchor like he's gonna die! Had to grab a video of these sweet babies playing on the inlet today. They came up in a boat and did not want to re enter the boat. Gotta love dawgs!!!!!! Well, ignore my stupid sounds actually. They were juuuust so precious!

We had a white lab. She had to have a harness with a handle, otherwise I had a very hard time getting her back into the boat.

@Greg - They are so pretty, Greg! I'm sure she was a pistol in the water. Lucky you to have owned one! I sure do miss having a four legged baby. Just a bit empty without something like that to love and care for.

I think I missed that last comment, Greg. Probably my stupid phone. Had to log back in for some reason and I'm sure it was something that I did. And if I accidentally cut off your comment, I do apologize to my friend!

@BentMtn She wasn't the brightess dog, but definitely the most agile and fastest dog I have owned. She could get under a thrown ball before it hit the ground and snag a squirrel or rabbit before it reached the fence line. We're all good, Bent. I had trouble attaching the pic on my end.

@Greg - She is a beauty! Thanks, dahlin'! I am sure she was a treat and loved. Unconditional love on her part for sure. Labs are such sweet dogs.

Sweet Bella with Zip! Zip was named after a Beanie Baby! Of course, my daughter named him! Bella was named after Cabela's retail store! My son named her. Hahahhahaha! She was afraid of Zip and I didn't blame her.

Bella was a pretty girl. I've heard of some dogs being afraid of a cat. But my experience has been the opposite - cat vs dog is no match. A hiss, a swipe and then retreat or get bit.

@Greg - Thanks, Greg. She was a pretty girl. Zip always swiped her and chased her. Zip chased me and my daughter up the steps while we were screaming all the way. I loved that cat too even though he was evil-ish. He slept with me and in the middle of the night would wake up and walk over my head and I could never get sleep. He slept with my son too some, but never did that to him. I asked him why I wonder that Zip didn't do that to him and he said he would throw him across the room. One time...it stopped. I am way too much of a soft touch.

This is helping me Greg and thanks! Just thinking about sweet dogs today. You are very kind to indulge me.

There's just something about a dog - always happy to greet you when you get home, lay on your feet when it gets cold and alert you when there's something unusual going on outside. They are a best friend.

@Greg - Yep! True dat. ❤️

@BentMtn love this! We love our dogs but I was always so much fun watching our old lab on the beach ❤️
