Funny thing - I reached out to outer banks voice about advertising on their site. They believe I'm a direct competitor and rejected me. I responded - I'm a message board - not a news site. No response. Still rejected.
How about Free OBX FORUM rear window/bumper stickers for members and new signups?? Hell, I'll throw one on my Beach Buggy and I think most of the current members here are loyal to the OBX FORUM TRIBE!! It's gotta be a cool graphic though. Maybe throw a few designs out and get some feedback.

@Craic'n Crabs I reached out to Mark Jurkowitz over at Outer banks voice to see if they could reach out to you and get the situation explained. I will also agree that the island free press might be a quicker option as they are more " local" and would probably be more receptive.
@Alexy @ Stumpy - took the advice and reached out to IFP - I'm in review. I also reached out to some OBX travel guides to see what their rates are.
Got another advertising rejection. Who would have thought offering to give some online sites money to advertise this site would be so hard.

Suggestion... I saw where the Squid was swapping emails with Will. It would be nice if Will could redirect traffic to www.obxconnection.com here. It can be done at the domain registrar or via a simple HTML "index" page with a redirect wherever the site was hosted.
