Good Morning, Captain Paul Sr. here. I always like t0 comment on Outer Banks Charter Fishing. There is so much misinformation or not enough information regarding our World Class Charter Fishing Opportunities. I will monitor this site to give "Reel" honest answers regarding Charter Fishing. Questions such as "Best Charters" require more than a Boats Name. Considerations such as Where Are You Staying; Type of Fishing; How Many People; Party Make Up (Children, Elderly, Handicapped); Answers to these questions will give you recommendations to best fulfill your Fishing Expectations. To Be Continued.....
Welcome to the forum!
I've had two great trips!
Forgot to mention - I've chartered his boat. Highly recommend. https://stolatfishing.com/
@PICKLE Always enjoyed reading your words of wisdom on the old forum. 🙏for you and all the crew and people taking your charters. GODSPEED
@PICKLE Are there charters that allow a person who walks with a cane and both wrists incapable of doing that kind of fishing -basically an observor experiencing first time open water watching others fish and enjoying myself. If so what would cost be ? Maybe you have other suggestions. My late husband and i always enjoyed the ferry rides over to Ocracoke and because of his health no chance for him to experience what i would like to in my status. Thanks in advance. 🙏 your way
@Obk9x2 Pickle may not get back to you for awhile so I'll put my 2 cents in. I have been on many deep sea charters. Some have been pretty smooth and some very rough. The ocean has her moods. All of them go out for at least eight hours and can be grueling when it's rough. Holding on & keeping your balance, even while sitting, takes constant effort on a relatively calm day. Then there's seasickness... always a possibility and not fun. Cost would be split evenly amongst the other passengers, so a $2500 charter split among say 5 passengers total would be $500 each, plus tip for the mate. There is a large boat, the Miss Oregon Inlet that goes out into the sound for half day fishing where it's much calmer. Family oriented and lots of seating inside and out. I have never been on board, but do a search for the boat and more info, if that sounds interesting.
@Greg Thanks again for your input Greg. Alot to consider and i do realize way big difference than creeks , river and smith mtn lake in area in va where i live and also riding the ferry. Appreciate your knowledge 🤙
