I completely agree that something has to be done. The wife and I daytrip to Hatteras at least once a month. Love it down there but it gets dicey during storms. Also, there are hospital staff that sometimes get trapped on either side of the bridge.
@Craic'n Crabs I have a friend that’s a substitute teacher at the Hatteras High School but she lives in KDH. It seems like every time there’s a full moon or north east breeze they close the schools due to ocean over wash. There are probably a lot of people in the same boat, or wish they were in a boat…
