I often shop at the Hotline Thrift shop in Frisco. Proceeds are used for domestic violence prevention on the island. I've had a lot of fun shopping there for nautical treasures for my beach cottage in addition to knowing that my patronage assists their mission. The volunteer ladies that man the shop are great. On this last trip, I picked up this copper hammered "First in Flight" piece that I love! (26 x 18 size and the backing is wooden). Just gotta find a place for it now!

Perfect, Craic'n! Great way to find out about an item. I have attached a pic of a very large framed piece that I also purchased at the Hotline Thrift shop on HI for my son and have it stored in my basement until I clean it up a bit. He's a duck hunter and loves hunting at the OBX (mostly Ocracoke) and in eastern VA near the NC line. This piece has an original signature. I think it will appeal to him both with the ducks (I think they are ducks...maybe geese....hahaha...well, birds) and the camouflage. He has a display of duck decoys in his home now and this may round out his display area.
This is my baby boy duck hunting at Back Bay in Virginia....kinda near BF's neck of the woods. He is working with our neighbor in BB about trying to set up a duck blind on the Pamlico Sound. CAMA has been a headache. They are are attempting to go in together and get one going. A lot of red tape. He and his sister will be inheriting this house in BB and he absolutely loves the duck hunting here.

Labs are great, but 10-12 years seems to be about their lifespan. Ours died a week before her 11th birthday. Sorry, Alexy. I know it's tough. They're great dogs and they love their owners.
@Greg Yeah she was amazing. She was very protective of "her" family. Probably why I was so attached to her. She loved her walks either on Hatteras or at home. She always liked to check out "intruders" be they nutria on Hatteras or ground hogs on the farm. She was also quite the lifeguard. If the nieces swam too far out from the dock she would bark to tell them to come back and if they didn't listen she would dive right in and go get them.
