Try not to name everything in one reply - I have quite a few. But I'll start with the latest (maybe) to close. Ladles in KDH. I absolutely loved their soups. I'd always go with their grilled turkey bacon and cheese on grilled rye with whatever soup looked good that day.
Seamark in Kitty Hawk. Loved the vibe and they had these none local crab claws that were delicious.
@Craic'n Crabs haha i just asked my sis who has been going down twice as long as me (myself 2006) this question. Her response right away "me being there"
The beach in Rodanthe. The house we stayed at in 2013 is no longer there.
where to start..... Frisco Pier Quarterdeck Restaurant when Ochs senior ran it. The original Bubbas BBQ Papagayos Oasis Restaurant on the Causeway 24/7 beach access Channel Bass restaurant Hatteras Howards Pub when it used to be open in the off season As far as people who are no longer on the Island I would not even know where to start.
The Fish House. Buxton. Across the road from Pop's.
@Stumpy --- Oh gosh.. with the rickety floors. I was just thinking about that cool place where you walked downhill for the sound view. Love it, Stumpy! Plastic containers for the BEST food. Ya beat me to it. Lolly loved it too!
@Craic'n Crabs For me Winks on the beach road

@Craic'n Crabs yes, Ladles was great! Sorry to see them go
The Beacon Motel in Nags Head, classic old school oceanfront motel. It was replaced by a bunch of Saga mcmansions.
Sam and Omie's when it had a pool table. They got rid of it 20? years ago. Sandpiper's Trace Campground at the north end of Roanoke Island. Wonderful people. I used to have one of these.
