This hamburger sign at the entrance to the Alligator River bridge was messing with my mojo yesterday. Not that I am a grammar nazi at all as I get many things wrong in my writing, but it always brings out the Sheldon Cooper in me.
Funny I've driving by there for years, never noticed that.
Out here, there was a mailbox in the shape of a largemouth bass. It disappeared and the owner put out a hand painted sign that read 'please return our stolen male box'. A couple of months went by and somebody must have bought them a brand new largemouth box... probably got tired of the misspelling 😆.
@Greg - So funny! My daughter had a friend in high school that had gone to nursing school and passed her nursing exam and her Mom had invites professionally printed and mailed to many for a congrats party for her. The header at the top of the invite said "Brandi Has Did It." I got some simple pleasure out of that one since that Mom was heard saying "What's that all about?" in a mean way about me when she saw me driving a new to me sports car to the junior high to pick up my son from school. (mid life crisis for me I suppose)
I've seen that sign many times and it drives me crazy! In the same vein, Booty Treats in Nags Head has "Shave Ice" on their sign. Right up there with ice tea and fry chicken.
@W&M OBX Dang. I've been there too and never noticed Shave Ice. Man I've got to start paying better attention around me. These are hysterical.
