We are coming down soon to celebrate 47 years of wedded bliss and in all the 50+ years we been coming we’ve never eaten at JK’s. Are they still a good place for steak? Their reviews look good.
I've never had a bad meal there. I usually get the ribeye but my other half has had seafood there and said it was very good.

Steak is steak and I can grill it just as well at home, so I don't go out for steak much anymore. JK's has a "live grill" meaning they use wood fire and it does well with steak, but it is also good with fish and JK's has a really good salmon entree which is what I get these days.
I've had really good steaks at JK's but I would highly recommend Pony and the Boat (Kitty Hawk). The best steak I've ever had in the OBX was at Pony.

The filet mignon and potatoes au gratin at the Pony and the Boat is delicious! They cook their steaks the same way that Ruths Chris does.
