Got some slow walking in today and it was nice getting back out. The air felt like early October with no humidity and 78 degrees. Thrilled to find another whole sundial, six pieces of sea glass, a handsome scallop, a broken heart rock, pretty whelk top, and an imperial venus. Also found a good amount of other goodies.
@BentMtn nice finds! I've noticed that the weather is turning towards fall early. Temps have dropped into the 50's by dawn a few times and I've been catching whiffs of wood smoke from stoves taking the morning chill off. Weather is always different, but this year may bring cold earlier. Our firewood is stacked and drying. I need to fill the empty heating oil tank when the price is right.
@Greg -- Thanks, G! Gotta "hitch in my get along", but some found good stuuuuuf. Hip is gimpy! (Not that I have ever had heeps). Hahahaha! I was shocked at the breeze which was almost cold over my bathing suit. Grabbed a tal to cover. Hoping it stays this way; however, don't want it getting that cold too soon. 50's in the morning is crazy for July. You are always ready for the winter, friend! Hope that oil comes down in price!
@BentMtn I like cold weather more than hot weather. You can always put on more clothing, but there's only so much you can take off 😄. I've got some breakouts from poison sumac, not liking summer right now.
@Greg -- Just give me fall, my favorite season. But, you are right. Easy to cover up and stay warm with a nice fire and blankets. Sorry you have a breakout. Bummer! Hope it goes away soon.
@BentMtn it's going away. The worst spot is between two fingers on my hand. Benadryl cream helps.
