Does anyone remember old Mr Lamb (pretty sure that was his name) who played the saw (yes the saw) to accompany the hymn singing at the beautiful little Nags Head Baptist Church on Sunday mornings? The sweet little chapel was immediately south of Jockey’s Ridge on the bypass. It was torn down to make way for the big Nags Head Church that’s there now. The one with the blue roof. We loved to go there back in the late 80’s/early 90’s. We were so sad when he passed away.
And we were sad when the lovely old church was leveled.
