Cloudy tonight and no sunset really. Just wanted to send a video before leaving this beautiful island. It's been fun for me and I got a lot of thinking done on my walks. Primo time for it. Hope everyone has a safe and fun weekend wherever you are. I always think of my friends on Craic's site. And Lolly...you are only six months younger than me and and gorgeous (I've seen pics) and we are young in regards to your post to BF. Grandma's, yeah; but I heft my seven month old grandson over my head for arm strength as an exercise and hold 'em up there for several shaking minutes. He's 25 pounds and he laughs out loud when I do it. Very sweet baby and wraps his little arms around my neck always. Grandmas are lucky.
Just now...deck box flying across the deck.
@BentMtn 👏 thx mf! ❤️🙏
@BentMtn Wowsa !😇
@BentMtn weather's always changing which makes things more interesting, at least to me. Enjoy your change of scenery back on the mountain.
@Greg - Thanks, Greg. I love the wind down here and I agree with you! Looking forward to some MTN time. Have a great weekend!
@BentMtn I hope you have a great weekend too. Stop by Cahoon's on your way out and pick up some Bass Farm sausage. I was pleasantly surprised by the country ham in the grind, which I know you like too. Oh... play Country Roads on the final climb!
@Greg haha she's gotta get thru that god awful Sat traffic Greg. Lots of wkend travelers her way off the parkway . Guessing she's driving back way in and not from the city lol GOD's 😇 be with that sweet, sweet lady ❤️ He surely threw away the pattern when she was born! 👏::flag-us::
@Greg - Thanks, Greg. Stopped in Manteo and had breakfast with friends, but I appreciate the sausage tip when I have a chance to get there! I'm sure it's great if you suggested it. Nice to get back to the country for another great view from my backyard. Hard to pick my fave view between the ocean and the mtns. @Obk9x2- traffic through the Tri Villages was pretty bad AND through Raleigh area on I40. Thanks for the prayer.
@BentMtn beaches are great, but the mountains are my favorite getaway. I guess that's why I live halfway in between... a three hour drive east or west gets me there. Glad you made it home safely. Rub out that flat spot 😆.
@Greg - That's great that you are so close to both! Zip anywhere you want when you want. I remember you guys visiting the Smokey Mtns in TN. Talk about beauty. If I had to choose, though, the mountains would win. Sitting on cement seats in the Tundra are rough....
@BentMtn Awesome pic tyvm. Glad you had breakfast with friends on way out and are safely back in that good ole mountain air! 👋 to your hubby and have a great Sunday -lil hazy n overcast my way this am. 🙏❤️
@Greg Smokies are the best and since my hubby passed last Feb i've been every month 2 or 3 days at a time and stay same motel -same room and go up in the park everyday (cades cove -clingsman dome our fave ). We went to obx close to 20 yrs when we had our 2 Dals and they went to mtns with us also. In all honesty i feel closest to them in the Smokies ❤️ My July trip there is 25th as that is my 46th wedding anniversary which i will always celebrate ! Have you ever been Douglas Lake in Dandridge ? Awesome - i tend to venture out more areas now doin what makes me happy. Great Sunday to you and yours ❤️🙏::flag-us::
