If you're in town this fish fry has been going on for 80 years. Tonight’s the night for one of Hatteras Island’s best traditions. The Hatteras Community Fish Fry kicks off at 5:00 pm at the Hatteras Village Volunteer Fire Department (57717 NC-12) and runs until they sell out. Fresh local fried fish (trout, mackerel, bluefish), hush puppies, coleslaw, potato salad — all for about $15 a plate, with homemade desserts available too. Proceeds support the fire department, ladies auxiliary, civic association, and church.
Good food, good cause. Get in line early.
