I have placed the nice small poster type cards that Craic'n mailed me to get out the word about his new forum to several businesses on HI this trip. I made copies too of them before I came down in case I needed more. The one at Frisco Woods campground is being "thought about" by the manager and of course Frisco Rod N Gun has one, Bobs Frisco Tackle, the Nautical Surf shop, etc etc. About a dozen places I have visited. Nice way to meet people IMO and I enjoy it. One place I had not hit was Conner's, so I ventured up there this morning. They have one on their board to the left when entering the store now, but I hit it at the wrong time. Had forgotten that the state of NC did not sell beer on Sundays until after ten a.m. I got there at 9:50 and the place was dead. At ten one would have thought prohibition had just been lifted!!! People were piling in. Well, it is a great store and the meats there are the best. Since it's Sunday and newcomers are doing their weekly food shopping and that includes suds, the parking lot was packed and people grabbing 12 packs out of the store cooler. Well, I got one too... They were more than happy to accommodate. Very nice people there!
