@LollyGirl We picked strawberries today and the field was mush but it was worth it. The berries are really good.

Picking here too but this rain isn’t good for them. I meant to go to the farm stand near us and get some before the wet weather but didn’t make it. Nowadays they force the berries earlier in the season around here. Used to be well into June before they were ready for picking. I can remember my mom making strawberry shortcake for dinner when they came in. Nothing else - just strawberry shortcake. It was dessert for dinner.
@LollyGirl - Awww! I miss those strawberry pickin' days with my kids when they were little. Gave them a tiny little pail and it was halfway eaten before we were through. I want strawberry shortcake for dinner only too!!! Great idea of your Mom. Nice memory for you, Lolly. Hope the weather clears up for you guys! Off and on down here. More on, really.
