Checking on People!

Has anyone heard from Miss Tilly or Lowtide? I could kick myself for not getting Miss Tilly's contact info when we met at the Avon Pier last fall for a frosty "one dollar" PBR. We just always PM'ed each other via the old OBC. I was drankin' one a couple of weeks ago there and thought of her and snapped this pic. And Lowtide with his hilarious narratives warning of the pitfalls of Hatteras Island running out of beer and the ATF arresting liquor smugglers trying to cross the Basnight bridge, shark attacks, bugs, etc etc etc. Sure do miss those fabulous personalities. Fantastic people!!!

Sorry - I don't have their info. Their are a couple of members from OBC that joined here but haven't posted or replied yet.

@BentMtn I think Lowtide typically took a long spring vacation every year so that may still be true. I know Craig was trying to advertise in the IFP & OBV. Maybe a local radio station would give a shout out and posting a flyer on store bulletin boards would help get the word out.

Craic'n and Greg: Thanks for the info. Good tip on the flyers, Greg. If the flyer idea sits well with you, Craic'n, I would be happy to personally print multiples of any flyer that you create and approve of and pass them along to vendors in Frisco and Hatteras with the vendors approval to post. Just a thought... I have probably run across Lowtide at the HI inlet and didn't even know it as both of us frequent it so often. Just need his mug shot. (Liquor raid shot....)

Suggestion - put a QR code link on the flyer.

This is what I have so far. I created it for online advertising.

@Craic'n Crabs Just let me know if this is what you want or if you want to tweak it if you feel like this is something you would like to do as a marketing piece. I can take it to Staples at my expense of course and have them printed. No problem at all. I'm thinking also that I can talk to Carol from Radio Hatteras and a few others if you approve. Thanks

So I asked grok to reformat so that it would work as a flyer. I was able to confirm the QR works off of the screen. However, I don't have any ink to print it and check. You and anybody else that wants to spread the word - have at it. The more the merrier!
