I've been adding alot of additional functions and features. I've gotten some good suggestions. But I'm also trying to get rid of things that might be bothersome or make something more convenient. What is the difference between PM and Notifications? They seem to do the same thing but a little differently.
@obxtraveler I just realized that notifications are also going to PMs. It shouldn't do that. PMs are for direct communication only. Notifications should be if you were mentioned in a post/reply. I'll fix it.
This is really miniscule, but when I finish looking at a thread go back to the main forum (thanks for the links to main forum at start and end of thread- that's helpful), it goes back to the top of the main forum. Is there a way we can go back to main forum but land at the thread just reviewed? Regardless, thanks for your work on this site. It's nice to have it back.

@W&M OBX What I did before didn't work but it appears to be functioning now. FYI, sometimes you need to refresh your screen for changes to take effect. Let me know if you experience any issues.

Weather & Emergency NHC (Hurricane Center) Atlantic tropical advisories, outlooks, watches/warnings that mention OBX, NC, or the Mid-Atlantic. Outlooks throttled to once per 48 hours. NWS Dare County Active weather alerts for Dare County zones (severe/extreme get pinned). Same alert reissued within 24h is suppressed. NWS Marine Marine zone alerts for OBX waters (Small Craft Advisory, Gale Warning, etc.). Severe/extreme get pinned. USCG 5th District Maritime search & rescue, incidents, and NC/OBX waterway news. Dare County EM Boil water, evacuations, states of emergency, power outages, curfews, re-entry notices. NCDOT Incidents Road incidents in Dare, Currituck, Hyde counties. Major NC-12/Bonner Bridge closures get pinned. Transportation NC Ferry Division Hatteras-Ocracoke, Cedar Island, Swan Quarter service notices. Suspensions/cancellations get pinned. Parks & Nature NPS Cape Hatteras Alerts for Cape Hatteras NS, Wright Brothers, Fort Raleigh (closures, beach access, dangers). Seismic USGS Earthquakes M2.5+ quakes within ~155 miles of OBX. M4.5+ get pinned. Sky Watch (Astronomy) Aurora Alerts Kp ≥ 7 geomagnetic storms (G3+) — strong enough to possibly see northern lights from OBX.

@W&M OBX Funny you say that. I was just going to post this - Connecting the Jennette's pier feed was a PIA. The AI kept telling me that it was live and direct. But I had their website up and could see the data and the forum was different. It kept lying to me and then admitting that they were pulling from other sources because it was easier. Took about an hour of prompting to get it right. Now that it is and working I really like it.
@Craic'n Crabs I like it a lot. Probably the most useful feature for us since we come to spend our time on the on beach... tides, temps and winds help to know if a 4oz weight is enough or if I'll need to use a brake rotor to hold the bottom 🤔 😆
@Craic'n Crabs Any chance of making it configurable for us South of the Bonner people? No biggy if not as I normally use a app for tides anyways.
