The town of Nags Head is maintaining a Google map that shows updated status of the beach nourishment project: current work area, completed areas, closed areas. Hoping this link works: https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mid=1B1rVSapsmNv_mcj0XZ0Sa31iCBYMjGA&femb=1&ll=35.930461388095196%2C-75.5787643623997&z=12
That looks really helpful. Thanks.

@OBXRelaxing Thanks for posting! That's my stretch of beach! We walk it from Hollowell street to Small street and back regularly when we are there. My cottage is just north of there on the beach road (with a bright green shed out front).

@OBXRelaxing Thanks for posting! We'll have a nice wide beach for our next visit. Our cottage remodel is still not finished, but the contractor says we will be in there this summer.
This was an interesting development today. They just opened the access near the Windjammer and the pipe started spraying water suddenly. It took quite a few people by surprise.
@gfury When is the project supposed to be completed?
@obxtraveler I was going to verify this on the town web site, but it's not responding at the moment. If memory serves me, it is scheduled to be wrapped up by the end of July.
